Our advent calendar
For our advent calendar this year, I wanted to stay away from cheap chocolate and do something that would engage Finn in the Christmas spirit. So, we came up with the idea of ornaments that he could put on the tree every day. Only problem was that I didn't want to wrap 24 ornaments and wasn't sure how to display them.
Somewhere, I had seen little numbered buckets tied to a clothes line across a mantelpiece. Using that concept, we decided to hang little presents from a clothes line. We used brown paper bags from the store and clothes pins to secure them, which took a grand total of 10 minutes to complete. Then we popped the little key tags over the top, hung a ribbon across one empty wall and Voila!
If we had more room, I would have spread them out across two rows so they aren't so packed together. But, for the moment, this works and it will look better as the days go by. Finn loves it so far!
