Goodnight everyone. It has been a good weekend and I am a happy baby.

Sunday again.

It is Sunday evening and I have a long list of 'shoulds' before the
work week starts. Instead I am hopelessly lost in this little boy's
smile. I am a slave to its power. Gotta go play...

Finn's First Friend

Inca has finally fallen for the baby. This weekend we found her
sleeping next to him on the floor. Although she quickly looked up when
we came back in the room to make sure she wasn't in trouble.

how to keep a baby entertained for long periods of time.

I read in a book that it is important to change out your baby's mobile frequently so their little brains stay stimulated. This weekend, it was time to give him a new mobile so we decided to make one. He loves black and white contrast so we took white cardboard and cut different sized circles out of it. We then drew on the circles with black sharpie markers. I taped a little tab on the back side of the circle and hung little alligator clips to the end of the strings, connecting the tabs to the strings so the circles were face down.

And the result? A happy, entertained baby! He loves this mobile and will talk and laugh at it for as long as we let him. And the best part is we can change the circles out when he needs new things to look at.

We are going to make one for my office and one for Nick's so he has one wherever he goes.

These two are going to have WAY too much fun when Finn gets older.

At IKEA last night we met a woman with her two week old baby. It is hard to believe that this little chap was once that small. Especially as he is now wearing clothes with 6 months on the tags. I haven't seen many babies Finn's age in a long time, but I think he might be especially large.
