We found the prettiest little, sweet-smelling tree ever today. It is actually the first Christmas tree of Nick and my adult life, single or married, which is amazing. This is also the first Christmas we have spent together at home our entire relationship. We have seen Christmas in Bali, UK, Hawaii, UK/Idaho and Australia, but not Seattle. And with kiddos in tow to make the season really special? How fun!
We put the tree up and the lights on when Finn was taking a nap. And when he woke up- oh, wow! oh, wow!- a tree in the house(!!!), ready to decorate! He was impressively patient and careful putting the ornaments on.
Now our house smells amazing, the special glow from the lights makes the room look magical and we are all cozy together on a cold winter's evening. Life doesn't get better than the feeling of this moment...
